Silicone Rubber

Silicone rubber is a great choice of rubber capable of being used to mould a wide range of materials such as plastics, cements, urethanes and waxes. There are so many types of silicone rubber that it’s important to choose the right one for your needs. Here at Alec Tiranti we are specialist silicone rubber suppliers proud to provide you with an exceptional range of rubbers so you can find the best one for your moulds.

Our silicone rubbers differ largely in their flexibility, strength and viscosity, allowing you to choose the best one for your mould. All of our silicone rubber are cold cure rubbers, meaning that they vulcanise at room temperature. These are suitable for working at temperatures between -20ºC and 250ºC, making them ideal for most applications. Our RTV-101 silicone rubber, meanwhile, is a firm rubber able to work up to 316ºC. This added durability allows it to be used with metals such as tin alloys and pewter.

To support our silicone rubber selection we are also proud to provide our customers with a range of fantastic supporting accessories to help you mould your silicone rubber. Some of the accessories you can find in this section include Thixo additive, which can be added to your silicone rubber to thicken it or Silicone fluid to thin and render the silicone more pourable. We also provide a choice of adhesive sealants and release agents.

We hope that you are satisfied with our silicone rubber selection. If you have any questions about our range or  are looking for a specific product you can’t find here, then please get in touch with us today. We would be more than happy to help.
