Thixotropic additive for T20 and T28 silicone rubbers. For making skin moulds or moulding immovable vertical objects. Thixo additive is used as a third component, and it changes the catalysed rubber from flowable to non-slump (not a paste). Use 0.5% to 2% of Thixo Additive to weight of rubber. We have found a 2% addition gives an excellent brushing rubber which does not trap air but remains non-slump. A second layer, if required, should be added whilst the first is tacky. Thixo Additive will shorten the available pot life. Test before use.
